For 2005 and newer models of the Charger, Challenger, 300C, and Magnum RT and SRT (excluding Hellcat and Demon), this fuel system upgrade offers significant enhancements. Designed to work in conjunction with the original equipment (OE) feed circuit, it supports up to 700 rear-wheel horsepower (rwhp) or a maximum of 10 psi boost when using gasoline fuel. This system retains the OE fuel level sender, EVAP functionality, tank transfer, and filler neck. Additionally, it is upgradeable to a return configuration.
This basic fuel pump upgrade requires minimal installation effort and utilizes the original fuel feed line, in-tank filter, and fuel pressure regulator. The factory dual sump tank’s transfer function is retained, along with the level sender, fuel filler, and all EVAP controls. It is important to note that this system is not compatible with E85 fuel due to the original fuel filter’s lack of compatibility.
As part of a standalone fuel system, professional installation and a custom tune are required. Qualified installers must be able to interface with the OE harness, understand proper component placement and hose routing, and deliver the vehicle with factory-like pump prime/on/off logic without generating error codes. Fore Innovations will provide basic system schematics and detailed component-level instructions, and can assist with troubleshooting system performance and function.
This fuel system generates significantly more heat and capacity than the original. The high-powered fuel pumps produce more heat than the factory pump, and the composite fuel tank construction insulates and stores this heat. Additionally, the shape of the factory fuel tank limits the pickup capacity of this system. To minimize heat damage and ensure adequate fuel pickup, the driver must maintain a higher fuel level in the tank at all times.
Style #1 (OE on 2005-2010, some 2011): Â Used from 2005 until mid 2011 and is no longer manufactured. Â If the fuel pump has been replaced (with a new OE pump) since 2011, it most likely has a Style #2 level sender.
TRANSITION YEAR: 2011 cars may have Style #1 or Style #2 from the factory.
Style #2 (OE on some 2011, 2012-2019, some 2020-2023): Used from mid 2011 until current. Â Older cars (with Style #1 level senders) with an OE fuel pump replacement after 2011 most likely have a Style #2 level sender.
