If your 2011–2014 Mustang GT (manual transmission only, sorry slushbox squad) is still breathing through the stock intake manifold, you’re leaving horsepower on the table… and that’s just rude to your engine. Enter the Ford Performance BOSS 302 Intake Manifold — the very same beast found on the legendary 2012–2013 BOSS 302, plus the BOSS 302S and 302R race cars. This isn’t some knockoff; this is the real-deal, track-proven, high-RPM happiness maker.
Made from lightweight composite material, this manifold won’t weigh your pony down. The short runner design is all about moving air like a hurricane at high RPM, so you can make the most of your Mustang’s top-end power. And yes, it comes with the special “Ford Racing” intake badging so you can flex a little when you pop the hood.
We’re even throwing in O-ring intake gaskets to help keep that boost or NA airflow sealed up tight. Ford recommends the BOSS 302 Intake Manifold Install Kit (M-9444-M50B), which has all the production bits to make your swap a breeze. Just be aware — minor wiring harness modifications will be needed. Nothing scary, just enough to make you feel like you’re doing real race car stuff.
One important note: You MUST recalibrate your ECU after installing this bad boy. No tune, no go. Skip the calibration and you risk turning your engine into an expensive paperweight. And for our automatic friends — this BOSS inlet tube doesn’t have the hookup for your aspirator tube, so you’ll need to make some adjustments.
Bottom line: more airflow, more high-RPM power, and more bragging rights. Your Mustang deserves it — and so do you.
